THE W1 TOWNHOUSE_

PROJECTS July 2020

Located in the prestigious pocket of London, Marylebone you will find W-One London’s exceptionally appointed segment of their latest development, The W1. Our latest project showcases The Townhouse, a sleek, timeless, modern design reflective of the building’s profound architectural elements. With a calming atmosphere, the luxurious home offers contemporary living with an abundance of space and natural light.

Imagined by our designers as the ultimate entertaining space, much like a Miami penthouse, inspiration was drawn from the scenes of Slim Aarons’ nostalgic photography. Epitomic notes of glamour and playful charisma are seen reflected through the incorporation of a muted, ocean-like colour palette. This is found through bespoke, tailor-made furnishings such as the blue curved sofa, feature dining chairs and expansive entrance artwork. With the absence of outdoor space, this is complimented by a never-ending palm tree used as a means to bring the outside in. The palm tree simultaneously accentuates the property’s reach-to-the-sky ceiling alongside its full-length windows and vast atrium space.

The Townhouse acts as a gallery with the inclusion of some sculptural and hand-selected artwork placed in every room, each telling their own story. A key piece includes locally sourced artwork from British Contemporary Artist, Nat Bowen’s ‘Chromology’ series, also showcased in the Saatchi Gallery. Conversational and unique, the artwork’s organic resin composition sits perfectly in the monumental space.

Accompanying the gallery-feel, The Townhouse displays a beautiful ensemble of intriguing textures as seen in the study space and bedrooms, as well as monochrome tones placed throughout complementary to a soothing colour-palette.

“Whilst designing for the imagined homeowner, because of the unique architecture, we envisioned it to be more of an entertaining space for a bachelor. We therefore designed the space with contemporary furniture and a playful tonal palette to go in hand with the cool atmosphere of the house which becomes apparent the moment you step in.”
