HEXGAON APARTMENTS_
PROJECTS October 2019
Located in the heart of Covent Garden, Hexagon Apartments’ iconic building is one of a kind, highlighted through its hexagonal shape, giving uninterrupted 360° views of London’s skyline. Commissioned by the developers, BNP Paribas Real Estate, our A.LONDON designer’s transformed the show home into a modern aesthetic reminiscent of a New York loft through both the layout, design and feel.
Working with an angular shaped apartment, the designers decided to divide the space through zoning, splitting the design across the reception, dining and living area. Large crittall doors were another design feature acting as a divide, allowing the study to be utilised as a guest bedroom. The backdrop to the scheme’s overall colour palette was the Prussian blue kitchen, creating a vibrant and distinct feel to the space. Along with blue, burnt oranges were a stand out choice, dressing muted and tonal hues against pops of colour.
Throughout the space you’ll find angular forms reflecting the buildings shape, with carefully curated items such as the bespoke coffee table and sofa taking centre stage. When creating the second bedroom, a more playful approach was applied, whilst still complimenting the angles seen throughout the apartment. A striking asymmetric headboard stands as a statement in the room and a subtle nod to the building’s unique shape marked against a distinct Central London skyline.
