CORINTHIA RESIDENCES_

PROJECTS January 2021

Introducing A.LONDON’s latest Dress for Let project, Corinthia Residences. The luxury apartment finds the perfect balance between classic contemporary interiors that mirrors the prestigious and iconic London Residences, creating a neutral yet inviting space for someone to live in.

From the minute you enter the apartment, the grandeur of the space hits you. The contrasting polished marble floors and rich Macassar timber details immediately set the tone of the apartment. In the living room entrance, the designers added a bespoke leather bench, blue-toned commissioned artwork and two striking organic bronze and brass sculptures to create an elegant space, whilst softening the hallways linear angles.

The large living room was divided into three more intimate yet functional zones. Bespoke silk rugs and crystal lamps were used as innovative partitions to separate the spaces; entertaining, working and relaxing. The first was a formal living space refined to a contemporary interior with a cluster of three bronze and Calacatta marble coffee tables. The second space was an oversized chair and leather desk that were perfectly situated under two three-metre-high windows creating a warm and comfortable working space. The third area was dedicated purely to relaxation with a large bespoke love seat. Upholstered in a sumptuous cream boucle fabric; the soft silhouette of the piece makes it the ideal spot to read a book, enjoy a drink or admire the views of London.

Drawing on Dulux's colour of the year 'Brave ground', the living room's soft neutral tones create an understated warmth feel that's both comforting and grounding The idea for this space was to concentrate on texture and tactility, allowing the buyer the perfect calming backdrop that can adapt to their lifestyle.

The same notion follows through into the dining room; however, subtle drama has been added into the dark blue inky artwork. Minimal detailed dining chairs surround a bespoke dining table, crafted from Japanese grey oak and brass which aids in softening and lifting the space.

The notion of tranquillity drove the design of the master bedroom, showcasing a colour palette of delicate powder blues, complemented by soothing greys and champagne tones. Gentle wave-like patterns decorated the headboard, paired the intricate embroidery on the bespoke silk cushions and the Japanese inspired ink artwork, in order to add a further feeling of serenity.

“The interiors of this particular project were driven by two elements. First, the architecture and setting of the apartment. The grandeur of the existing, iconic Corinthia building really drove forward the notion that the interiors had to have the same refined elegance with a touch of contemporary class. Secondly, the idea of creating a luxurious home that seamlessly fused layers of interest and comfort, perfect for any discerning client that was used to the finer elements of life.”
