A.LONDON sat down with Real Estate Professional and Head of Mayfair, Marylebone and St James’s residential lettings and sales for UK Sotheby’s International Realty, Diana Tran, to discuss her inspirations, tastes and more. Diana has over a decade of experience in the luxury property industry along with a wealth of knowledge on Central London postcodes, including W1 where our award-winning project The W1 Townhouse sits.
What building inspires you?
The Shard, such an iconic building making up London’s skyline – I love spotting it looking down from the plane, best feeling touching down to your “home city”.

Do you collect anything?
Currently plants. It’s like a little terrarium has grown in my flat since lockdown and I am still collecting, who needs shoes!
What brings you the most pleasure?
My family and friends. I am forever grateful to have these people in my life to keep me grounded.
Favourite furniture design piece?
Lazy boy chair? Love a lounge chair with a footrest.
Last item you bought for your wardrobe?
My waist supporter, it keeps all the bits in and firm!
Design you wish you had come up with?
I wish I could design anything!
What was the last thing that made you laugh out loud?
What is life without laughter? I have so many laughing moments it’s hard to pinpoint just one.
Artist you most admire?
Alicia Keys, she writes inspiring music you can relate to at every point in your life’s journey.
Music or podcast last downloaded?
The Daily Mediation Podcast (sip and om) it is much needed in times like these to keep us sane.
Restaurant you’d most like to visit and why?
My parent’s home. Nothing beats home cooked food from the hearts of my amazing parents.
Cocktail discovery of 2020?
The Picante cocktail!
If you could do anything else what would it be?
Be a singer with a voice like Mariah or Whitney
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Feel gratitude. It’s so simple but it has changed my life in many ways.
The gift that gave you the most pleasure?
The Secret: Daily Teachings by Rhonda Byrne from my beautiful friend.
Something you will never part with?
Airpods. They are the best addition to my life right now.
